OUR RESPONSE

On behalf of everyone at ONE TO ONE, we want to let you know we value your safety and are committed to working with you to reduce the spread of the COVID-19 illness.

This page will continually be updated with the latest information in regards to the program, volunteers, staff and events.

COVID-19 Response Campaign

Thanks to the generosity of ONE TO ONE supporters our Keep the Pages Turning campaign was a success. Together, we raised $7855 for our program. And, with the early commitment of three corporate sponsors, we exceeded our $15,000 spring fundraising goal!

ONE TO ONE Literacy Program

Even though the pandemic paused our literacy program this spring, we are returning to schools in the fall

More details will be shared once they become available. If you have any questions, please email us at contactus@one-to-one.ca.

Parents and Caregivers of Young Readers

Since April, ONE TO ONE Literacy has been supporting young readers through our ONE TO ONE Facebook page.

Until June 26, every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday we will post reading strategies, literacy games, and tips on our Facebook page to help you and your child’s reading right at home. Together let’s make sure our young readers stay a step ahead.

Volunteers

For everyone’s well being, no further volunteer sessions will be scheduled. We will resume our tutoring program only when it becomes safe for both our readers and our volunteers. Until then, we encourage you to keep a close eye on your emails. You can expect to receive ongoing updates, relevant resources, and upcoming initiatives for our volunteer community to stay connected amidst the COVID-19 crisis.

If you have any questions or concerns please connect with us at contactus@one-to-one.ca.

Office Closure

For the safety of our staff and community, our office will remain closed as we practice physical distancing. The ONE TO ONE team is still available to answer your questions and be a resource to you as we work remotely.

Postponed Events

Please note all events taking place in April and May have been postponed. Further details will be shared as they become available.
