Join us for a special talk about diversity & inclusion in the world of children’s books.
Date: Saturday, March 4, 2023
Time: 10:00 a.m. – noon
Location: Langara College, 100 W. 49th Ave, Vancouver
This presentation from elementary teacher-library Elaine Su will help volunteer tutors think about how children’s books can support, celebrate, and work towards anti-oppression and anti-racism. We will discuss what good diversity and inclusion looks like, why it’s important, and what volunteers can do to create reading environments that truly hold space for every reader.
