PARENT & CAREGIVER NEWSLETTER
You can expect to receive four issues of the Parent & Caregiver Newsletter a year (winter, spring, summer, fall). Each issue will have practical literacy tips, program information, and event invitations intended to leave you feeling confident and ready to make reading a fun family activity.
PARENT READING WORKSHOPS
We are thrilled to be collaborating with Vancouver Public Library for a Parent Reading Workshop during Family Literacy Week on Saturday, January 31st, 2026.
Caregivers of kids in Grades 1 and 2, join us for an interactive session full of positive strategies to support home reading. This session will equip you with the knowledge, tools, and inspiration you need to get reading with your kids.
Attendees will receive a resource package including games and a handbook with helpful tips.
Children in Grades 1 or 2 (older siblings are welcome) will participate in a fun program with Library staff in the room next to the workshop, and then join their caregivers for 30 minutes of literacy fun.
I’m much more relaxed and patient now while reading with my child. I don’t feel like I have to jump in to say words for them because they can figure it out!
