2026-2027 IN-PERSON READING PROGRAM
On the recommendation of their teacher, your child has been invited to participate in ONE TO ONE Literacy’s 2026–2027 In-Person Reading Program at their school.
Children read one-to-one with a trained volunteer tutor for 30 minutes once a week, from the beginning of their participation through the end of May, with breaks for school holidays.
These sessions give children regular opportunities to practise their reading skills, build confidence, and develop a positive connection with reading.
What you can expect
One consistent tutor
Your child will read with the same volunteer tutor each week, allowing them to build familiarity and connection over the course of the program.
Coordinated with your school
Sessions take place at school during school hours and are coordinated by your child’s school in partnership with ONE TO ONE.
No cost to families
ONE TO ONE has provided reading support to children across British Columbia for more than 30 years, made possible through the generous support of our donors.
What happens after you submit the form?
Our team will review your registration and email you a digital consent form to complete. Once consent has been received, your child’s school will coordinate the tutoring schedule and any school-specific details.
