2026-2027 VIRTUAL READING PROGRAM

Thank you for your interest in ONE TO ONE Literacy’s 2026–2027 Virtual Reading Program.

Before completing the application, please review the information below to make sure the program is a good fit for your child and your family’s schedule.

This program may be a good fit if your child:

Would benefit from extra reading practice

Your child needs some additional reading support and would benefit from working one-to-one with a trained volunteer tutor.

Is in Grade 1, 2, 3 or 4

Your child must attend school in British Columbia.

Can commit to weekly sessions

Your family can participate once a week from November 2, 2026 to May 28, 2027, with breaks for school holidays.

Can be supported by a volunteer tutor

Your child’s literacy and English-language needs can be supported through regular reading practice with a trained volunteer.

Is willing to participate

Your child is willing to read, engage and cooperate with their tutor during online sessions.

Has an adult available nearby

An adult must be available during each online session in case assistance is needed.

Please complete all required fields in the application form below. Submitting an application does not guarantee placement. Registration depends on student eligibility and finding a volunteer tutor whose availability matches your family’s schedule.

For example, do they enjoy reading, read independently, read with an adult or tend to avoid reading?
This helps their tutor choose books that are likely to spark their interest.
Child’s Availability required Select every day on which your child would normally be available between 4:00 and 6:00 p.m.
