The ONE TO ONE Literacy Society team is very proud to announce that we are now serving 100 schools in the Vancouver area. Because of the generosity of our community of supporters, we have been able to grow our program offering in Vancouver far more than we anticipated this current school year. With the addition of Dr. Annie B. Jamieson Elementary School to our list of schools served in Vancouver, we have reached this wonderful milestone of 100 schools. We are very grateful for the support from our donor base and the commitment of our volunteer tutors that have enabled our growth and this milestone.
This 2016-2017 school year marked the expansion of our local program to the Richmond School District, and to a total of 16 new schools. Next year, we plan to branch out further and be able to offer our program in additional school districts, and help more struggling students become joyful readers, across the Lower Mainland and the rest of the province.
