Thank you to everyone who joined us for our second annual A Night for the Books Trivia Fundraiser – presented by Geotab. This year’s event was a fantastic evening filled with laughter, friendly competition, and a shared love of books and community.
Guests were so eager, they started arriving early to grab their seats and sharpen their pencils. Malone’s Taphouse was alive with energy as trivia teams, volunteer tutors, board members, community partners, books lovers, and ONE TO ONE staff gathered for a night to remember. It was wonderful to see the return of many familiar faces, including our defending champions, The Imbibliophiles, and to have the chance to meet so many new supporters.
Thank you to our incredible host, Amanda Adams, founder of Trivia Hive, for returning to guide us through the evening with smarts, style, and just the right amount of sass. The trivia questions were the right mix to induce both thought and laughter, with a special nod to all things Canadian in the “Elbows Up” category.
And of course, our heartfelt thanks go to our trivia prize donors—Bard on the Beach, Vancouver International Film Festival, the Vancouver Canadians, and the BC Lions—for helping us reward some very impressive trivia prowess.
Congratulations to our winners:
🥇 The Imbibliophiles – champs for the second year in a row!
🥈 Biblionauts! – boldly answering where few had answered before.
🥉 The Winners – living up to their name with a strong third-place finish.
In addition to our top teams, three lucky guests took home fabulous door prizes donated by Black Bond Books and Book Warehouse, and our 50/50 raffle winner walked away with a full pocket, too!
We’re so grateful to everyone who helped make this event such a success: those who attended, spread the word, donated prizes, and cheered us on. Your support fuels our work helping young readers thrive, and we couldn’t do it without you.
Do you know a trivia buff, book lover, or all-round good person who wishes they could have been there? Let them know that they can still contribute to a great cause.
Until next time, thank you for being part of our story.
