2026-2027 VIRTUAL READING PROGRAM
Could your child benefit from extra support on their way to becoming a confident, joyful reader?
ONE TO ONE is inviting students from across British Columbia to apply for our 2026–2027 Virtual Reading Program.
Children read online with a dedicated volunteer literacy tutor for 30 minutes once a week throughout the school year. These regular sessions help children practise reading accurately, fluently and with understanding while building confidence and making reading a habit.
Program at a glance
30 minutes each week
Your child will have one individual reading session each week with a dedicated volunteer tutor.
Most of the school year
Sessions run from November 2, 2026 to May 28, 2027, with breaks for school holidays.
Read together online
Tutoring takes place on Zoom using a shared collection of books through Epic!
After-school sessions
Sessions are scheduled between 4:00 and 6:00 p.m., based on both family and tutor availability.

This program is intended for students who are reading just behind their peers or grade level and would benefit from regular practice and a little extra support to take their next step as readers.
Spaces are limited and depend on finding a tutor whose availability matches your family’s schedule.
